To Hon. Councilwoman, Lois Tarkanian
Dear Mrs. Tarkanian,
We want to take just a minute to offer our sincere appreciation to you, Robin and Anne for all the help you have given us in our efforts to maintain and even improve our neighborhood during the worst economic downturn in our community's history.
Thanks to our core group of "doers", our Association has been remarkably successful in acheiving many of our goals and we want you to know we are well aware our accomplishments have, at their root, the support you have given us.
We thank you and look forward to continuing our working relationship with you.
Respectfully submitted,
Chet Daugherty, President
Knight Allen, Vice President
TORREY PINES Neighborhood Preservation Association is exactly that,
the preservation of our
neighborhood and its surrounding areas.
Our focus is to inform our neighbors of the resources and assistance available
through Lois Tarkanian's office and within our community. We strive to get our neighbors involved in their community
by participating in various events, such as neighborhood beautifications, fire and emergency safety, child safety, and
general community involvement.
Much cooperation and support has come from Dr. Gallagher at Rose Warren Elementary School. Our Board has
met with Dr. Gallagher on several occasions and is pleased to know she feels strongly about involving the
school with the community. Dr Gallagher is very supportive of the P.T.A., Neighborhood Associations and Look
About Kids, a new program that Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian is also strongly involved with.
Association meetings are held in the cafeteria at Rose Warren Elementary School the second Wednesday of each
month at 6:30 pm. We urge you to join us, invite your neighbor, and get involved. Preserve your neighborhood and
protect your home, your family, and your investment.
We are pleased to announce that, due in large part to the efforts of Chet Daugherty and the Torrey Pines Neighborhood Preservation
Assocation, the Rose Warren playground/park will soon be receiving a makeover! We'll keep you posted on the progress!
This is your neighborhood!
We want to hear from you!
